We had our first practical test in the morning today. Well, the paper wasn’t as simple as I thought it would be and I guess I might have screwed some parts of the paper, but still it was manageable. The test was 1 ½ hour long and so after the test we headed for our lunch. This time we decided to try out another fast food restaurant which was called Hua Cai Shi. In that fast food restaurant, they sold food like burgers, chicken wings, chicken sticks, fries and drinks. It is sort of like the KFC we have in Singapore, but just that over here the food were really spicy. When I say its spicy I mean it, it’s REALLY spicy and that almost all of their food were spicy except the fries.
The lover set meal
When we were on the way back we saw this really loving couple
After lunch, we headed back to our hostel where we were given the afternoon off from our lessons to concentrate on our project. We took around 2-3 hours to complete most of our work, and it was already 5 plus 6 before we called it a day.
After the meeting, most of them decided to go to the night market at Han Kou, while some of us stayed behind in the hostel to get our work done. It was around dinner time, and so Nic went to Duo Luo Jie to get food packed for us. Thanks Nic (:
Our packed dinner
After dinner, Jiali, shiela and I decided to go to Crown Bakery to get our breakfast for the next morning as we would be leaving for WuDang Mountain in the morning at 6.45 and the ride would be around 5 hours long.
The cheese cake which taste a little like butter cake
Reflection:
If you love spicy food, do come to Wuhan and try their local, I am sure you would love it.
During my stay in China, I realize that the people here love spicy food. They love to put chili in everything that they eat! The burger which I had for my lunch this afternoon was really spicy, I only took a bite from it and I could feel the numbness in my mouth. I am not exaggerating; the chicken itself was already pretty spicy, but they added even more chili to the burger. It might be due to them loving the heavy taste in their food, but if you are not able to take spicy food, and you would like to try the local food here, then I would suggest that you get two bottles of water ready before trying out any of their food.
