Today we had our first lesson with Ms Grace at room 704. We learn about the geographical location of the provinces in China. During the lessons, we were asked to do a exercise whereby our objective was to match the names of the provinces given to us onto the China map. And so, knowing that the shape of China is somewhat like a rooster we decided to guess the location of the provinces by their names.
Our answer
The correct answer (HAHA most of our answers are wrong)
After class we went to have our lunch at Ling Meng Le for our lunch it was SUPER cheap, each one of us only paid around $1.40, and we were really full. We had tomato with egg, veg, tepan potato and rice. ((: it was around 1.30pm when our second lesson started, we had our PM lessons and as usual we did around 2 assignment before we are able to leave the class.
Ling Meng Le, our official favourite place ^^
After lessons, Sheila and dyana came over and we all played UNO together before going for a jog with the rest. The jogging part was okay, we girls didn’t manage to run far, but well at least we exercise and Jiali owed me a drink treat as she lost to me when were we playing a game on the way back haha ^^
Then we headed to Ling Meng Le again for our dinner, we ordered around 6 dishes and each of us only have to pay $1.60. But we had a very long wait as it was really crowded and most of us were already starving when the food arrive.
Im enjoying every second over here
Reflections:
When I was on the way to have our lunch, I happen to see two children around the age of 4 to 5 years old playing with each other just beside their parents food stall. They were playing real simple games like using sticks to draw on the sand and running around chasing each other. Then it reminded me of the children I see in Singapore nowadays on the streets, they are either playing PSP or iPhone games. Long gone are the day where children used to run around the neighborhood playing those childhood games. What if we were to ask the children in Singapore to live in China for 2 years? Will they be able to adapt to this environment?
