Yesterday was a long day for me. Met the rest of the OIP members at 11am at Changi and only manage to do the check in after waiting for ½ an hour. Plane took off from Changi to Guang Zhou at around 1.35pm, it was a 3 ½ hour flight, so meal was provided(ps:the food was really salty) and after so most of us fell asleep while some played Monopoly Deal.

It was around 5 pm when we reach Guang Zhou airport, we took quite some time before we manage to collect and check in all of our luggage. We had Macdonalds for dinner, the differences of China’s Macdonald and ours is that the names are all written in Chinese and maybe they have a little more variety as compared.

After dinner we are finally taking our last flight from Guang Zhou to Wuhan, due to delay we only manage to reach Wuhan at around 11 plus 12. When we were at Wuhan airport we were asked to place our luggage into a bus but not only through the doors but the windows too(look at the picture below) thank god that we had guys in our group (:
And finally it is time to get to our hostel, it was a 1 hour bus ride from the airport to our hostel. During the bus journey there are certain things which have left a deep impression on me,
• The buildings were really old but I guess this is the trademark of China
• There were quite a few grocery stores which resembles those of the olden days
• Food stalls were open till late at night and amazingly there are many people having their meals at around 1 plus 2 am
• We happen to pass by a renovating building and I saw 3 Chinese men which were living there, they seem to live the life of the “coolies” during the 60’s in Singapore. They had a dim lighted lightbulb above their dining table and were having their meals in their half squatting position.
It was around 1.30 am when we have finally reached the hostel, it took us around another 1 hour or so before we were all settled down and get ready for bed. Below are some of the pictures of my room ^^
